The Radboud sails on the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea. Enkhuizen is the home port, and the harbours of Medemblik and Hoorn are also used frequently.

Other departure points are possible in consultation.

Day trip or holiday

The ship has all the necessary facilities for a holiday that can be relaxing or active but is always comfortable. The focus is placed on giving our guests an unforgettable trip. We welcome assistance with the sailing, and this is of course an enjoyable aspect of the holiday.

Various arrangements are possible if you want to board in a different town or enjoy an active excursion on land, such as a visit to the Zuiderzee Museum.
For example, you can hoist the sails in the morning and sail from Stavoren to Medemblik, where bicycles will be provided for you. After a day of activity, you can relax on board and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat. You will feel rejuvenated.

As the ship is fully equipped and has a range of technical facilities, it is self-supporting. The clipper can therefore be anchored outside the sometimes busy harbours, possibly in a peaceful scenic location.

The best feature of the ship is perhaps the sauna. This sauna can accommodate four guests and is located next to the largest conceivable cold bath in the Netherlands. Just jump overboard!

All kinds of services are provided to make the holiday as pleasant as possible. If you want a chef to provide you with a nutritious meal after your excursion, this can be arranged. Or if you prefer, you can cook your own food in the well-equipped galley. Just make a shopping list and your groceries will be delivered on board.

Business trips

The Radboud is also ideal for day trips for businesses. It can be used to entertain business relations or for meetings outside the working environment where a change of scene can be beneficial.
The guests experience the privacy of a ship, but still have all the necessary facilities on board within easy reach.

Meetings and presentations can be alternated with periods of relaxation on deck enjoying the refreshing salty breeze, or a sumptuous buffet or dinner on the lower deck.

Whether or not you assist with the sailing during the trip is up to you. Of course, joining in with the crew gives the trip an added dimension, especially as the sails are hoisted manually by several people without the use of winches. This is the ultimate in teamwork!

If there is not enough time for active sailing, the clipper is also an excellent venue for a party or gathering if it is moored at a quay or in a special place – perhaps in combination with a location on land so that the guests can walk to and fro.

If you need special equipment for a presentation or meeting, this can be arranged!

If you have special wishes for simple snacks, buffets or elaborate meals, the Radboud can cater for your needs. With its fully equipped kitchen and its own chef, or with external catering, you can be assured of a representative service.
